On Monday, January 10, Massachusetts introduced the “My Vax Records” tool. It allows residents to search the Massachusetts Immunization Information System (MIIS) for their vaccine records. When the records are found, the tool generates a QR code to store on your phone, creating a digital COVID-19 vaccine “passport” to show when required (e.g., for indoor dining or travel). While the system has worked well for many, the state has provided some information and guidance to help should you find missing or incorrect information in the MIIS.
However, if you have a MyHealth account, Atrius Health has made it easy for you to create a digital vaccine passport using the same SMART Health Card technology the state uses.
Here’s how it works:
- Chances are, your vaccine information is already in your Atrius Health medical record in MyHealth. Our medical record system regularly queries the MIIS database, and our clinical staff may have already reconciled the information and updated your medical record.
- We have created an easy process for you to confirm the information we have found or to upload your vaccination information directly into the MyHealth system for edits and verification. Just follow these simple instructions.
- Since we use the same SMART Health Card technology as the state does, you can also create a QR Code/digital record of your vaccine information in MyHealth and easily access it from your MyHealth account or store it in your Apple wallet or Apple Health.
